Support for Community & Youth

Learning space for confidence and belonging

Bring Together focused on community and group learning, designing educational and integration programmes. We offer individual support, various programmes and cultural events – all for making people confident, safe and connected.

Support in Integration and Community Cohesion

We create welcoming spaces where local communities come together, build trust, and learn practical skills for everyday communication.

This helps displaced people, migrants and refugees overcome social isolation and build resilience in the face of various obstacles, including language barriers, cultural integration, job opportunities, and access to local services.

Bring Together Key Priorities

Mental Health and Well-being: Our workshops are designed to enhance people’s communication and self-help skills, directly contributing to their emotional well-being and mitigating distress.

Community Health: We actively work to combat feelings of isolation and facilitate successful integration by building confidence in communication and improving social skills.

Fostering Resilience: Our programme empowers people to navigate challenges effectively by developing emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and peer support connections.

These peer support gatherings are designed to create a welcoming space for individuals to connect. It’s an environment where everyone can share their lived experiences and feel a true sense of belonging.

Warm Circle Meetings aim to build community cohesion, encourage empathy, and promote mutual understanding, strengthening social bonds and community resilience.

We hold monthly meetings in Tayside (Dundee, Perth, Blairgowrie), Stirling and Greenock.

Hidden Talents
The programme is focused on developing self-awareness, communication and employability skills, and building relationships between Ukrainians and Scots.
Training programme and workshops encompass the pathways to volunteering and employment opportunities, showcasing transferable skills and collaboration and job satisfaction, as well as fostering a positive workplace culture.
Bring Together Youth

The programme offers communication, mediation, and emotional intelligence skills, empowering young people to express themselves, manage disagreements peacefully, and connect with their peers.

Direct outcomes for young people aregrowing confidence, stronger community connections, and clearer pathways into work and participation.

Participants

Aakriti Tanwar

Crew Member (McDonald’s)

Thanks for the session the other day. It really created a great impact. Specifically helpful and useful were the things you said about what We can control and what we cannot. I often beat myself too much about why I am not being able to make a difference. But now understanding that certain things are out of my control makes me feel at peace and allows me to divert my attention to things I can control.

Bisma Omar

Finance Assistant (NHS Tayside)

During the workshop, Hanna emphasised how to differentiate between the things that matter and those which don't. I believe this point doesn't only apply in the business world but also our personal lives. I have learnt a lot from her workshop and highly recommend it. Thank you so much, Hanna!

Daniella Levins

Service Designer (Police Scotland)

I wholeheartedly recommend the exceptional talents of Hanna and Vitalii, a remarkable couple renowned for their expertise in conflict management, mediation, and emotional intelligence. Having participated in several of their workshops and collaborated closely with them, I can attest to their remarkable insights, engaging teaching style, and inspiring impact on individuals. Their ability to capture the room is exceptional, making their workshops both enriching and transformative. Every time I walk away from a session, I feel inspired and empowered to use my knowledge in my everyday life and career!

I attended a ‘Conflict Management in the Workplace’ Workshop, organized by the talented Hanna Dushkova and Vitalii Diakov. They led an exciting session that involved Chloe Nash and I from our Service Design background along with other representatives from a range of organisations and industries. They created a truly unique and safe environment that generated thought-provoking discussions, practical exercises, and honest reflection.

Galina from Ternopil, Ukraine

Florist (Flora Gardening Ltd)

The training was a mixture of valuable theory and practical exercises at the training. It created a trustful environment during learning sessions. The training helped me raise my awareness and motivation to be more proactive, which helped me integrate and socialize fast. I liked communicating with my peers, exchange of the information and our experiences with other participants.

Hayley Gardiner

Thank you for this. I liked the cylinder of truth and also the I statements – they reminded me of some training I have done in non-violent communication. Really useful 

Developing the Young Workforce Tay Cities

Grove Academy workshops

Thank you Hanna Dushkova and Vitalii Diakov for coming into Grove Academy today to deliver an amazing work inspiration activity! This was a great opportunity for the young people of Grove Academy to discover what Ukrainians Together is all about and to learn about all the various languages/cultures you can come across in your future workplace.

Sabir Zazai OBE FRSE

CEO, Scottish Refugee Council

An uplifting Scottish Refugee Council staff and volunteers conference 2023, where we launched our strategy for the next 5 years. What made the day even better was that it was facilitated by the fantastic Diakov Vitalii and Hanna, who arrived in Scotland last year fleeing conflict in Ukraine.
