Registration Open Mediation Masterclass: Pathways to Agreement Step inside the mediation room and experience how conflict shifts into collaboration. Disagreements happen in every workplace, partnership and community – but what if they could end with people feeling heard, respected, and ready to move forward? This interactive session invites you to explore how mediation works in practice. Masterclass In-person Affordable Fee Register Now 📅 Event Details ✨ Across Scotland, over 70% of mediations end in agreement — this masterclass will show you why. Mediation is transforming the way conflicts are resolved in Scotland. Across mediation services, over 70% of cases that go to mediation reach a settlement, with agreements that last. It’s a powerful reminder that when people are given the space to listen, talk, and understand each other, lasting solutions are possible. 🧑🤝🧑 Who Should Attend: The masterclass is designed for business owners, HR professionals, managers, leaders and anyone interested in improving dialogue and collaboration where they work or volunteer. Guests of the Chamber of Commerce are welcome to attend – while registering, just choose the guest option, or you can contact us at info@bringtogether.uk to book a place. 📆 Date: Monday, October 27 ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 13:00 AM 📍 Location: Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce Unit 37 City Quay, Camperdown Street Get directions Note: Affordable fee of £5. Book a ticket via the Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce website. 📘 Why Experience Mediation? Expect to observe mediation in action, reflect on the process, and take part in meaningful discussions. This event is not a lecture – it’s an experience which gives a chance to learn through action and gain confidence in handling difficult conversations. Participation in mediation role play is encouraged, but entirely voluntary – you can choose to take the role of the mediator or the parties in disagreement, or simply observe and gain insights from the process. 🌱 Benefits: Across the session, you will get: First-hand experience of how mediation works in practice. Insights into why mediation achieves high agreement rates. Take away ideas for improving dialogue in workplaces, partnerships, and communities. Gain fresh perspectives on how to strengthen relationships and resolve challenges constructively. 💡 Tips from Hanna: 10-minute check-in Ask your partner, friend or colleague one open question — “What’s one thing that would make your week easier?” Listen without interrupting, then reflect back what you heard. You have taken step one on the pathway: story → interests → options → agreement. Listening helps to meet needs of other people to be heard and understood. It seems obvious, but we need it every day. Being busy with our work and life, we just overlook simple things that help make a connection. Asking open questions helps: Surfaces friction early before it becomes conflict (connecting with people, making it easier to start an important conversation). Builds psychological safety and trust (knowing each other and finding common ground increases the chances of reaching an agreement). Creates opportunities to enhance your skills in reaching agreements for future masterclasses. ❓ About Speakers Hanna Dushkova Hanna is a lawyer from Odesa and an accredited mediator (Deutsche Anwalt Academy, 2018), now a registered mediator in Scotland and serving on the Board of Scottish Mediation.
