First Session Feedback

Participants, ranging from volunteers to team managers, engaged in interactive activities to identify types of responses and conflict styles. Early course feedback highlighted that the sessions are practical and relevant to everyday challenges in the third sector. Witnessing participants collaborate and share insights has been incredibly rewarding and enriched mutual learning.

Behavioural Styles and Responses: Understanding different initial reactions to conflict, such as avoidance, confrontation, and collaboration, and how this impacts conflict resolution.

Perceptions and Assumptions: How preconceived notions and assumptions can escalate conflicts and ways to reframe conversations constructively.

Non-Violent Communication Techniques: Methods that facilitate difficult conversations, active listening, empathy, and strategies for achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

Emotional Intelligence: Developing skills to recognise, understand, and manage emotions in oneself and others to prevent escalation and resolve conflicts effectively.
