About Us

Moving From Conflict to Deeper And Meaningful Connections

Bring Together Ltd began as the Ukrainians Together initiative in Scotland in 2022, with a vision to turn the challenges of war displacement of Ukrainian families into resilience-building opportunities. Now we are a company limited by guarantee with an “asset-lock” and commitment to invest our profit into educational initiatives on peaceful conflict resolution for refugees, children and young people, and the third sector.

Hanna

Originally a lawyer from Odesa, my path took a transformative turn upon attending the Mediation programme with the Deutch Anwalt Academy back in 2018. I worked as a consultancy, focusing on legal services and promoting the benefits of mediation. My work ranged from in-house mediation in Odesa private school “Mriya” to professional development workshops for legal professionals, organisations, and businesses.

Vitalii

Starting a career as an advocate in Odesa, I worked across the country settling all types of disputes and cases. Mediation attracted my attention by providing an effective way to settle differences while improving my own and my clients’ well-being. My work included facilitating negotiations in civil disputes, commercial cases and M&A projects.

I am a ‘people person’ with a varied career, mostly in Higher Education in the UK.  Many of my roles over the years have involved staff management/employee relations matters or resolving conflicts with students. I trained with Mediation Partnership in 2017 and am registered with the Scottish Mediation Network. Recently I have developed Conflict Resolution workshops for groups of staff and also Team Development workshops for teams needing to find a model of respectful working practices.

Recognizing the Potential of Refugees’ Journeys

In the wake of upheaval, the experiences of conflict, often perceived as solely negative, hold a largely untapped potential to foster deep human connection. For Ukrainian refugees, and indeed all individuals emerging from zones of conflict, these experiences can become a conduit for profound interpersonal bonds.

Transforming Challenges into Opportunities

We believe in transforming the daunting challenges of Ukrainian displaced people and refugees coming from different conflict zones into opportunities for personal and communal growth. By fostering an environment of acceptance and support, we aim to help refugees heal, integrate, and ultimately contribute to their new communities in meaningful ways.

Our Mission

Our mission has evolved to leverage these challenges for broader community engagement, enabling displaced people and refugees to share their invaluable experiences and contribute to societal enrichment. Through education, mentorship and community-building initiatives, we strive to create a nurturing environment where refugees and local communities can connect, learn from each other, and grow together.

we focus on

We have extended our training services to aid the local community and organisations, drawing on our firsthand understanding of conflict resolution, its impact on our well-being and the challenges of resettling in a new country. Our main activities are focused on:

  • Supporting displaced Ukrainian families and refugees to transform their experiences into new opportunities.
  • Collaborating with schools, colleges and universities to implement conflict resolution as a new skill and create a more peaceful environment.
  • Providing training and mediation services for local organisations to upskill their teams and turn conflict into learning and collaboration.

Life in Scotland & Starting 'Bring Together'

Starting the project in Dundee, Scotland our goal was to bring together people and create opportunities for learning and growth. From our personal experience, we know how difficult it is to integrate into a new society and not be able to use our professional skills. We believe that by nurturing their talents and skills people will be able not only rebuild their lives and also enrich their new communities and society.
